Kelly (Hatin) Meholic grew up in beautiful Sarasota, Florida where she began taking flute lessons at the age of 12 with Betsy Hudson-Traba, principal of the Sarasota Orchestra. After deciding to pursue music as a career, she earned her Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance from Florida State University as a student of Eva Amsler. She continued her studies in Lugano, Switzerland where she studied under Mario Ancillotti, Stefano Parrino, and Giovanni Crola, receiving her Master of Music degree in flute performance. She has played with the Lugano Chamber Orchestra, Sarasota Orchestra, Sarasota Ballet Orchestra, Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, and Gwinnett Symphony. Kelly currently lives in Acworth, Georgia where she teaches flute lessons in her home studio and online.  She also plays Principal Flute and is the Executive Director of the Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra. Kelly and her husband, Vance, have 2 cats and a Giant Schnauzer/Lab mix.  When she is not feeding her zoo, she enjoys gardening, reading, listening to podcasts, and cleaning.
